Community Paddle sponsored by Rochester Area Community Foundation

  • May 28, 2022
    9:00 am - 12:00 pm

With generous sponsorship from Rochester Area Community Foundation, the Finger Lakes Museum is hosting a community paddle to start the Memorial Day weekend!

Have you ever wanted to try a kayak or canoe out for the first time? Curious to learn more about Sugar Creek and the Townsend-Grady Wildlife Preserve wetlands? Come to the FLM to speak with staff and volunteers while enjoying some time out on the water and in the wetlands! Kayaks and paddles, canoes and paddles, and life jackets for children and adults are available to use at the museum. Or bring your own! Spend an hour on the water and then take a walk through the wetlands, with trails, interpretive signage, a boardwalk along Sugar Creek and an octagon pavilion on the shore of Keuka Lake.

Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Pre-registration is required. Openings available every half hour and will secure your 1-hour time slot.
