Land and Water Conservation in the Age of Toxic Algae: A Presentation by Finger Lakes Land Trust

  • August 2, 2022
    7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

In recent years, outbreaks of toxic algae, also known as cyanobacteria or harmful algal blooms, have struck all 11 Finger Lakes, the source of drinking water for more than one million people in upstate New York.

Join Finger Lakes Land Trust’s Executive Director, Andrew Zepp, for a presentation that will highlight a few of the environmental challenges our region is facing along with some of the solutions – including land conservation and efforts to address nutrient and stormwater runoff.

The event is co-sponsored by the Finger Lakes Museum, free and open to the public.
