Virtual Lecture: Celebrating Black Environmentalists

February 22, 2023 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

$10.00

Celebrating Black Environmentalists – Alyssa Johnson, The Bare Handed Naturalist

To commemorate Black History Month, join us virtually for a presentation of stories about several Black environmentalists, scientists and conservationists. Many have made amazing contributions to the scientific community and achieved great success despite the limits of systemic racial inequality, oppression, and discrimination. Stories of Dr. Jessie Price, John Edmonstone, George Washington Carver and more continue to inspire the next generations of scientists and we celebrate them for their incredible discoveries.

This is a virtual presentation ONLY and a Zoom link will be sent to participants prior to the lecture date.
